While computing value of firm why it is multiplied with mps and no. Of shares.if applying the given formula in book the answer is different

latest answer

Market value of the firm is total number of Shares raised X MPS. So what is done in the solution is correct. The method adopted is based on the formula only. The answer on applying the formula would be value at the beginning of the year, where as what is computed in the attachment is value at the end of the year. That would be the only difference

In this pq 14 why finished good is valued on basis of cos but not on cop

latest answer

Usually the cos will be taken for computing FG Stock usually because it comprises of all the cost that we related to bring that FG. In the case of WIP we will consider COP .

Benefit of Factoring - Opportunity Benefit of Receivables Not Considered?

Financial Management

answered on 24-Apr-24 19:54

Hi sir, hope you're well For credit period and discount policy, we see the opportunity benefit of the debtors being realized quicker, as a benefit. Why don't we take this benefit into account for factoring? Since a substantial part of debtors are essentially being realized at once, which is basically a lowering of 'credit period'. Thanks

latest answer

Both benefit and cost are considered for factoring. They are not at all ignored. Please watch the video where the concept of factoring has been explained while solving the problem.

Financial Management

answered on 12-Apr-24 01:46

If question provide you with depreciation is it necessary to present solution as per cash cost approach and take debtors at cost . Or can take debtors at sales

latest answer

the total cost approach is in line with cash cost only.. so whenever depreciation is mentioned it has to be removed to compute the total cost

Debtors management

Why revised investment in debtor is 30L. In question it is said 50% will go for cash sales by offering discount..

latest answer

Please re-read the question and try understand the point in the question, which says, 50% is not cash sales.. It says, for the 2% discount offered, 50% of the customers would OPT for the same.. so the computation would be as told in the video 30L x 2% x 50% So what is explained in the video is correct
